The Picardy Coast, via the local authorities, is implementing particularly attractive financial and fiscal measures to welcome new companies to the area.  Specific incentives will be granted to companies linked to the eco-activity and sustainable development sector.

Measures to revitalise labour market areas

On the Picardy Coast, 5 subsidy measures/revitalisation funds for the labour market area of the Abbeville area and of Vimeu have been implemented since March 2007.  Each system is managed either by a specialised consultancy (Géris, DML Conseil …) or through the Littoral Normand Picard chamber of commerce and industry and coordinated with all other local economic players (CR, CG, Investir en Picardie Maritime…) and work administrations.

Measures to reindustrialise industrial sites

As from 2009, the closing of the Terreos d’Abbeville sugar refinery will lead to a reindustrialisation programme for this site
